Our mission is to do “light” stuff in a “dark” world. To not merely listen to the Word…but to do what it says. We want to serve, love, live and give all we can…while leaving the results up to God. We want to tell 2.7 BILLION people about Jesus Christ…but we are going to start by just “being the church”. We want to do all this with only God’s strength and provision, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
Beliefs
We believe that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, has already formed the greatest non-profit organization of all time…..His church, its mission statement…..the gospel. His church even came complete with its own handbook, the Bible, which we believe to be the inerrant Word of God. The Bible represents God’s total and complete revelation to us concerning the practice of how we are to in fact be His church.
We believe that God, the Father, knew we were incapable of following His commands to avoid sin, so He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die a sacrificial death for that sin. Through His sacrificial death, and subsequent redemptive resurrection, Jesus has given us the opportunity to no longer be “slaves to sin, which leads to death” but to be slaves “to obedience, which leads to righteousness” (Romans 6:16). To be slaves of obedience to all that He has commanded, from love to The Great Commission.
We believe that The Son, like The Father, knew the tremendous amount of help and support that we, His disciples, would need following His ascension into heaven. Help and support not just with obedience, which is more of a choice, but with completion. So He asked The Father to send us the Holy Spirit (John 14:16). It is then the work of the Holy Spirit to, not only, support, comfort, and guide us but to complete His part of The Great Commission. Jesus goes as far to say that The Holy Spirit “will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment” (John 16:8). That leaves us only with the obedience part, while leaving the results up to God.
In closing, we believe that God exists in three co-eternal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are of equal dignity and power. There is no greater organization to be a part of than His church, no better handbook than the Bible, and no better mission than the gospel. The Bible is clear in telling us that God has done everything, from Creation to Commission, that we are incapable of doing on our own. So trusting in that, we are ready to go and do what we are capable of…..to serve, love, live and give all we can.
There is only one question….
Will you join us??
Vision
To humbly and simply strive to “be” the church that God intended.
