Vertical World Solutions is thankful to God and His people for our third Christmas. It had been very good time again for us to celebrate countless excited moments with God’s people in this season. We have too much to share with you but I will try to enclose big report in a nutshell. In addition to these reports(and with your help) we have met the needs of many this Christmas. We have served thousands of meals to people, provided goats and chickens, gave warm clothes and delivered message of good news to the poor! This Christmas our theme was “Good News” and we selected Luke 4:18 where Jesus said that, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.

Christmas Programs in Villages (People attended 1000+)
This year we have celebrated Christmas in many different villages with people and first time we arranged Praise songs, Bible Scripture telling and speech competitions in these villages for village children. More than 250 children took part in these competitions in different villages and won prizes. We gave awards to all children to encourage them for future. We cut Christmas cakes to celebrate Jesus Birthday with villagers. They were so happy to have full entertainment on Christmas in their own villages. We shared word of God with them from Luke 4:16-21 and told them all why Jesus came in this world.

Doctor Wala 377EB (Jesus Movie on Projector)
It is big Christian village where more than 5,000 Christians are living. We had two meetings here during December one with children and one with adults. In our meeting with children we had about 200 children and many more adults. We showed them Jesus Film and taught them story of good neighbor through Jesus Movie.
It was very good experience because this is first time we have used rented projector in our ministry. We found that people understand better through visual method, people in village 377 EB like this new way of teaching. We gifted chocolate to all children from VWS and cut Jesus Birthday cake with adults to celebrate Christmas. Children were so excited to see Jesus movie. They spent long time with us in learning during Christmas time.

Resurrecting Hope Primary School (Competitions + Games)
We do so many programs all the year in RHPS but children eagerly wait for Christmas time because this is special time for them and they celebrate it with living heart passions. Last year Christmas started on 1 of December in Resurrecting Hope Primary school and throughout December children celebrated it. We are in Government recognized school system, this year Christmas started in RHPS from 15 December because Government took December tests till 15 December. We had speech, praise song and Bible story telling competitions in our school. We also arranged some indoor games for children like music chairs, ball collecting etc. Children enjoyed very much and they were happy to take part in these games after taking tests in school. We presented them awards in the presence of their parents; they were very excited to get prizes from their parent’s hands.

Resurrecting Hope Bible Class (J-Block Arifwala)
We are doing our regular Sunday prayer meetings in Christian Colony J-Block. Every Sunday 80-100 people are attending us to listen the word of God. During December we arranged some competitions every Sunday in our prayer meetings. Children and their parents showed good attentiveness during these competitions. Mostly girls won prizes again this year but boys were also very active in taking part in competitions. We had outdoor games for RHBC in nearest ground where children enjoyed playing Cricket, one leg race etc. Not only Children of Bible class but adults also had very good time of excitement during this December.

Resurrecting Hope sewing School
They celebrated a day with students of Resurrecting Hope Sewing School in Sahiwal. They had cake cutting ceremony with them. They shared word of God from Luke 4:16-19 where Jesus says that He came to proclaim good news to poor of the world. Girls said them thanks for their gifts that they gave them on this time of Christmas.

Youth Games (Cricket Match)
Resurrecting Hope Cricket Club was gifted by VWS with new shirt and they were thankful to VWS and God for this Christmas gift. VWS always focused on children and youth because these are future of Christianity in Pakistan. We try to provide young people an environment of learning through their interested medium. VWS has a sports wing that helps young people to understand word of God in and out of arena. Through our sport activities many young people are learning love, patience, teamwork and plans of God for them. We arranged a Cricket match to attract more youth and to spread good lesson of love with other youths in Pakistan. This match gave them new spirit of fighting for win in life for God.

Parents Meeting (To appreciate Children)
We arranged a Parents meeting to encourage children who took part in different competitions and attained good marks in December tests. Parents were so pleased to see their children learning well in RHPS. Children gave some performance before their parents. We cut cake with parents and distributed in all people who were attending us. In the end parents presented awards to their children with their own hands that made parents emotional and glad. We said thanks to every one for trusting us to grow their children as active part of God’s body.

Good News Stage Drama (RHPS)
Pakistani Christians in past always have low entertainment on Christmas time. VWS arranged a Christmas stage drama through students of RHPS for people of New Christian colony to teach and entertain them. We had more than 250 people who watched this stage drama. Children acted good skits and acted on different Christian songs. Children did silent story that gave people a new idea of understanding what happened in Genesis when Eve an Adam committed first sin in the Eden Garden.
Brother Steve Vines spoke with people through Video (Skype). This was first time people see Brother Steve in Video and they were very excited. Brother Taught from John 17:20-23. In these verses Brother said that Jesus said a prayer of unity to be one in Jesus, like He is one with God. Jesus’ prayer was taught to people to spread harmony and love. It is True He came to save us but there is much more message in His birth on the earth. He came to make us one with God…Amen. Sister Rachel (Bro Steve’s Wife) greeted and said Happy Christmas and Happy New Year to all People. People were happy listen them.

Good News Stage Drama (J-Block)
students of resurrecting Hope Bible Class acted this stage drama in Christian colony. We had more than 200 people in this program. Children acted and tried to teach people how did Jesus become good news for poor and all people. Jesus created an environment of equality. People liked this stage program very much. We had kept some time for some funny games on the stage to entertain people. All people liked these games very much and young people took part in these games. Brother Zulfqar sang praise songs and asked some questions from people, VWS provided gifts for those who answered Brother Zulfqar’s questions. Brother Steve Vines and His family including Mom Margaret greeted our people and people were happy to see whole family together on computer. Brother Steve delivered message from John 17:20-23 where Jesus said prayers for us, He wants to see us one like He and God are one. In the end we said prayers for all people and said them thanks for their time that they gave to see their children. People were too excited to see Vines family.

Prayer Meeting
We gathered people on 24 December to say prayers. We said prayer in our school and cut Christmas cake to celebrate Jesus’ Birthday.

Christmas Prayer Meeting
This year again God blessed us with so many people in Christmas prayer meeting. We had joint prayer meeting where we had about 500 people. I preached people from Luke 4:16-21 where Jesus said God’s spirit is on me because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to poor. I spoke how Jesus became good news to poor. I used many other examples from the Bible to explain our theme for this Christmas.
In the end people greeted one another and I met all people.

Door to Door Visit
After Christmas prayer meeting VWS started door to door visit to say Happy Christmas to all people. This visit had been blessing for us and people too. People offered us food to eat and said thanks for everything that VWS did for them through the will of God.

New Year Meeting
We arranged New Year prayer meeting in Christian colony J-block where we had about 300 people. I said them to see 2012 and say thanks to God for 2011. I said them to repent as Jesus said repent and believe the good news. Many people repented and will look to walk with Christ in 2012.
Vertical World Solutions Pakistan is thankful to God for so many blessings in 2011 for us. We are also thankful to those people that supported VWS Pakistan in 2011 because with your support we were able to make so many changes in the lives of people. We believe your support and love will be with us during 2012 to be “Doing Light stuff in a Dark World”…Amen
